DSC 4613Visiting Moab in Winter and Why a Jeep Rental Is the Best Way to Explore Arches and Canyonlands

Winter is one of the most underrated times to visit Moab. The air is crisp, the crowds are gone, and the red rock landscapes take on a deep winter glow that you rarely see in the busy spring and fall months. If you want quiet trails, wide open views, and the freedom to explore at your own pace, winter is the perfect season.

It also happens to be the best time to rent a Jeep from Canyonlands Jeep Adventures, because from November 25 through March 1, all Jeep and Bronco rentals are $200 per day, which is $130 off regular pricing.

If you want to explore Arches, Canyonlands, and Moab’s backcountry while staying warm and comfortable, Jeeping is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to do it.

Why Winter Is a Great Time to Visit Moab

Winter in Moab is quiet, peaceful, and full of bright desert color. Temperatures are cool but comfortable, which makes sightseeing, hiking, and driving ideal. You can watch sunrise at Delicate Arch without dozens of people around you, take photos at Mesa Arch without fighting for space, and enjoy scenic overlooks without waiting for parking.

The best part is that winter gives you access to the same iconic landscapes, but with a calmer pace and a more natural experience. For people who love the outdoors, this is one of the best times to be here.

Why Renting a Jeep Helps You Stay Warm and See More

Many of Moab’s most scenic areas are miles beyond the paved roads. While hiking and biking are great, winter temperatures make long hours outside less comfortable. Renting a Jeep lets you stay warm, covered, and comfortable while still reaching the best views in the region.

A Jeep gives you access to:

  • The quiet backroads of Arches National Park
  • The sweeping overlooks of Canyonlands Island in the Sky
  • Scenic drives like Hurrah Pass, Gemini Bridges, and Onion Creek
  • Large areas of beautiful high desert that are not accessible in a normal vehicle

You control the temperature, the pace, and the route. You can stop for photos, stay warm between viewpoints, and enjoy the scenery without worrying about cold winds or icy mornings.

What You Get When You Rent From Canyonlands Jeep Adventures

Canyonlands Jeep Adventures makes winter exploration comfortable and straightforward. Every rental includes:
