I really have to admit that one of my favorite times of year to be in Moab has to the fall. The whole mood of Moab and for that matter the backcountry seems to change. The are a lot less people and it is not as hot. A few weeks ago I had the chance to fly over portions of Canyonlands National Park and it really struck a cord with me of how much I love this country and how grateful I am to have the ability to explore it from the ground. To me this is why we as a company are in the Jeep Rental business, to help people get into the backcountry and to explore. Southeastern Utah is one of those places where you can see the stars at night, where the light pollution is almost zero. I am excited that this fall I have a couple of chances to go out and explore Canyonlands in one of our Jeeps and have the chance to spend a few nights out in the backcountry. I will let you know how it goes and I am sure I will have lots of pictures to post.
Here are a few photos from when I flew over Canyonlands a few weeks ago.
