Amazing Hiking Trails in Moab

Beautiful Moab 12Moab, Utah, is a beautiful place to live, and to visit. It has unique landscapes and a lot of opportunity for outdoor recreation of all kinds. The area is perfect for camping, biking, river rafting, jeeping, and hiking. Hiking is one of the most popular activities in Moab, and for good reason. It has a number of amazing hiking trails, and here are just a few of them:

1. Delicate Arch. This arch is perhaps Moab’s most famous rock formation, and it is part of a great day hike. The hike itself isn’t too difficult, though it is uphill the whole way to the arch, and is easy to follow. It has a great view at the end, and the whole way back is downhill, so it is a nice way to rest.

2. Negro Bill’s Canyon. If one is looking for something a little greener or cooler, Bill’s Canyon is a great choice. This trail also allows dogs, so it is a great place to take pets for some exercise as well. This is a wet trail; some of it has eroded away, and it follows along a small creek. It has a nice blend of red rock and greener trees, and is an excellent trail choice all around.

3. Fisher Towers. This is a bit of an easier hike, but no less rewarding. It allows one to get closer to the scenic Fisher Towers rock formation. This trail also has very little shade, and can get hot as a result. It leads to an overlook where one can get great pictures of the towers themselves, as well as Onion Creek to the south.

These are just a few examples of the gorgeous hiking trails available in Moab. Before heading out, make sure to have maps, plenty of water, and the right hiking gear. Or, if one is interested in doing other activities like jeeping, be sure to look here to reserve a jeep. Have fun out there!
