Moab, Utah, is one of the most beautiful – and unique – places in the United States, and the whole world. People travel from all over to visit it, and it’s easy to see why. The desert landscape can seem almost alien, but it is undeniably gorgeous, and for those looking for greener scenery or cooler temperatures, the La Sal Mountains are right by as well. When vacationing here it can be hard to decide where to go first. There are a lot of amazing sights in Moab, and here are just a few of them:
1. Delicate Arch. This arch is famous for a reason. Not only is it part of a enjoyable – and exerting – hike, but it overlooks the whole town as well. This is a great hike for families in particular, as the trail is easy to follow. Though it is uphill the whole way there, that means it is downhill all the way back, and this can be a nice respite after the journey up. It’s a beautiful sight, and a great hike.
2. Fiery Furnace. There’s nothing quite like these tendrils of rock reaching up to the sky like fire. Both from a distance and within the trail itself one will encounter amazing rock formations. However, it is important to be careful with this trail, and a guide is heavily advised, as it can be easy to get lost.
3. Gemini Bridges. This is yet another unique rock formation: natural bridges. One can hike to see them, or go jeeping. No matter how you get there, the bridges are a sight you won’t soon forget. If you are interested, jeeping is a wonderful way to experience a lot of the sights Moab has to offer, so be sure to look here for jeep rentals.
There are of course many other amazing sights in Moab, and all kinds of outdoor recreation one can experience. Figure out what works best for you, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Make sure to have plenty of water, and to respect the land by not leaving trash in the area. Have fun out there!
